To activate a very "Special Event radio station" on the 1st and 2nd of June 2018

This event is to celebrate the part "Radio Amateurs played in WW2"

Doing "Covert Radio listening" Monitoring for Espionage.

The call sign will be GB4RME = Radio Monitoring Espionage

 


At the same time the Royal Mint will be issuing a new 10p coin.

 

 


This coin will feature the legendary MI6 Agent James Bond 007

Dennis GW4XKE Silent Key


   

GW4XKE Dennis Egan has gone Silent Key

Dennis was a member of BARS for over 30 years.

He will be sadly missed by the membership and his numerous friends around the world.

A stalwart of the Royal Signals Net and a great "Special Event" operator.

Dennis was one of life's great characters with a heart of gold.

R.I.P. Dennis

We all know it will not take long for you to be QRZ again

in the big Ether on the other side.
